Ronald Raymond Brown (2/19/1931 - 2/13/2006) - Ron served as the first Secretary of the Chapter when it was chartered in 1977. Ron served as Chapter Secretary for fourteen years, from 1977 through 1990. Ron served as a United States Air Force flight mechanic, stationed in Greenland. Ron began his fire service career as a firefighter in Great Falls, MT, promoted to Captain, and became the State of Montana Assistant Fire Marshal. In 1970, Ron, his wife, and four children, moved to Olympia, WA, when Ron became a Chief Deputy State Fire Marshal with the Washington State Fire Marshal's Office. Ron led the Washington State Fire Marshal's Office Arson Investigation Unit until his retirement in 1991. Ron was bestowed Honorary Life Chapter Membership in 1988.
