Courses

  • Fundamentals of Fire Investigation

    • This is a 5-day course that starts at 8:00 am on Monday, May 4th, and finishes on Friday, May 8th. The course has received IAAI International approval as an IAAI-recognized Alternate/Substitute Course.
      Registration cost – $700 (textbook included) – 40 student limit
  • IAAI Motor Vehicle Fire Investigation Class

    • This is an IAAI International-delivered course that meets the IAAI requirements for those seeking Motor Vehicle Fire Investigator certification. Registration for this track includes the Serial Arsonist Case Study presentation on Monday afternoon, May 4th, and the Fire Science Guy presentation on Friday morning, May 8th. Attendees for this track must register for the conference at $0 and then follow the instructions to register directly with IAAI International for the Motor Vehicle Fire Investigation Class.
      Registration cost – $700 for IAAI members, $1,065 for non-members. – 40 student limit.
    • (Hint: If you are not an IAAI member, join the IAAI International and Washington Chapter for $140 before registering with IAAI for the class. www.firearson.com/membership/join)
  • FI-210 Wildland Fire Investigation

    • This is a 5-day course that starts at 8:00 am on Monday, May 4th, and finishes on Friday, May 8th. Through completion of this course, students will initiate their NWCG Wildland Fire Investigator (INVF) Task Book.
      Registration cost – $600 – 24 student limit
  • General Fire Investigation Track

    • This track starts with the Serial Arson Case Study presentation on Monday afternoon, May 4th, followed by three full days with nationally known instructors: Tuesday is Dr. Elayne Pope on Fatal Fire Investigations and How the Human Body Burns, Wednesday is Scott Kuhlman and Chasity Owens on A.I. in fire investigations and report writing, Thursday is Dr. Bill Hicks on the examination of fire protection systems following a fire, and closes on Friday morning with the Fire Science Guy.
      Registration cost – $600 – 120 student limit

Conference Check-In

  • Conference Check-In is located in the downstairs Board Room.
  • Conference check-in will be open on Sunday evening, May 3rd, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm for TRACK A and TRACK C attendees registered in the Fundamentals of Fire Investigation and FI-210 Wildland Fire Investigation.  Students in these tracks who cannot check in on Sunday evening will be checked in at their classrooms at the start of class on Monday, May 4th, at 8:00 am.
  • Check-In for all other conference attendees will be open on Monday morning, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.
